    More information about Ocuvite Lutein

One of the most effective nutrients to maintaining eye health is Lutein, a protein which occurs naturally in the body and maintains the macula – the part of the eye which can degenerate with age, drastically limiting vision. So maintaining a good supply is essential.

Regularly taking Lutein can prevent or slow the development of macular degeneration, one of the world’s most common eye disorders.

The Ocuvite Lutein pill also contains essential vitamins, A, C and E as well as Copper and Zinc – all beneficial for the eyes.

Ocuvite Lutein: Side Effects, Benefits and Ingredients

Ocuvite Lutein, Bausch & Lomb’s scientifically formulated eye health vitamins, no doubt have significant benefits in maintaining your vision and reducing risk of age-related eye disorders.

But, the questions you might have on your mind are; what are Ocuvite Lutein’s side effects? What ingredients are used? What are the benefits for you specifically?

You’ll find everything you need to know right here.

What are Ocuvite Lutein’s Side Effects?

As with most lutein-based supplements, under the recommended dosage there are most often no harmful or serious side effects. There have been no concerning instances or reports from Ocuvite Lutein users however, should you experience changes to your health please consult a doctor immediately.

Ocuvite Lutein Ingredients

Ocuvite Lutein’s core ingredients include:

  • Vitamin A (300mcg)
  • Vitamin C (200mg)
  • Vitamin E (27mg)
  • Zinc (40mg)
  • Selenium (55mcg)
  • Copper (2mg)
  • Lutein (2mg)

The above ingredients are correct to the best of our knowledge and may be subject to change.

Why Should You Take Lutein Supplements?

Lutein supplements such as Ocuvite Lutein are typically used to prevent or slow down the progression of age-related eye conditions. For example, are you concerned about the development of macular degeneration or cataracts?

If so, taking supplements with lutein help to strengthen the macula and protect your eye cells from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress damages these cells and results in the progression of macular degeneration and other conditions.

Furthermore, there is evidence to show that lutein supplements generally improve eye health and vision. Also, they are generally safe to use when taking the recommended dosage (for Ocuvite Lutein, this is one capsule per day).

We recommend taking any eye health supplements which contain lutein alongside a meal and to be rinsed down with water.
